Emergency Technician

About the role

This individual is a member of the Emergency Department nursing and medical team and functions under the supervision of the Emergency Department Manager. Performs assignments given by Department Manager, charge RNs, or Nursing Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned tasks under the supervision of the Emergency Department Manager, charge RNs, or Nursing Supervisor.
• Provides patient care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Assists with patient transport and documentation as needed.
• Participates in ongoing education and training related to emergency care and patient safety.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire.
• Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire.
• Washington Emergency Medical Technician License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Unit Secretary preferred.
• Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or able to satisfactorily complete training program.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

This position is scheduled as a Part Time, 0.6 FTE, Night Shift.
