As an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery during critical, time-sensitive situations at Arizona General Hospital (Glendale). You will be the frontline provider, facing a dynamic and unpredictable environment where every moment counts in stabilizing and managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions and traumas.
- Rapid Assessment & Triage: Provides comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, performing rapid and accurate assessments to prioritize patient needs and facilitate timely intervention for various medical and traumatic emergencies.
- Emergency Interventions: Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities, balanced with the urgent needs and comfort of critically ill or injured patients. Initiates and manages life-saving interventions
- Patient & Family Support: Serves as an advocate for patients' needs by demonstrating holistic care practices, offering support and clear communication to patients and their families during highly stressful times.
- Clinical Acuity & Adaptability: Demonstrates the ability to recognize, interpret, and adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions (i.e. Lab, vitals, signs and test values) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner, often under pressure.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Must have 1 to 2 years of experience in ED
- AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State.
- American Heart Association- Basic Life Support certification (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred
- Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN)
- Emergency Nurse Pediactric Course (ENPC)
- Two (2) years Emergency Dept experience
