Emergency Room Technician I
About the role
The Emergency Room Technician, as a member of a multidisciplinary health team, assists in emergency patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, and focuses on patient comfort, hygiene and safety. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC-Anaheim Regional Medical Center and AHMC. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of AHMC-ARMC and AHMC.
The employee shall support AHMC-ARMC’s strategic plan and goals and direction of the performance improvement plan. The employee will also be expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to; Customer Service, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, Environment of Care and AHMC initiatives.
Requirements
- One year of acute care experience in an emergency services or related area.
- In lieu of this experience, consideration will be made for staff with strong education and associated experiential background.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Korean) preferred (as applicable)
Qualifications
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS
- Current EMT certificate preferred
- ACLS preferred
- PALS preferred
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (completion within the initial 3 month period of employment)
