About the role

This position reports to the Clinical Manager. The above statement reflect the general details considered necessary to describe the principle functions of the job as identified and shall not be considered as a detailed description of all work requirements that may be inherent in the position.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School degree or equivalent; ability to read, speak, and write English required.
  • Educational Program: EMT or Certified Nurse Assistant program also preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: American Heart Association BLS required within 30 days of hire or transfer. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) training required within 1 year of hire or transfer into the role.
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year direct patient care experience required; knowledge of medical terminology; interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and collaborate with other team members; ability to be flexible, set priorities, solve problems, and use proper judgment in difficult situations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

Performance expectations

Demonstrates the ability to perform the department specific competencies as listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.
