About the Role
Assists nursing staff in technical and laboratory duties within the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient preparation and treatment.
- Assists with procedures such as bleeding control, orthopedic interventions, suturing, CPR, and oxygen administration.
- Performs laboratory tasks including transporting specimens and maintaining lab equipment.
- Transports patients to inpatient units.
- Aids inventory and sterile processing staff in stocking supplies and cleaning equipment.
- Documents all procedures accurately in medical records, ensuring proper sign-off by Registered Nurses.
- Performs additional related duties as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Current Emergency Medical Technician Certification in NY State.
- Basic Life Support/ACLS Professional Certification.
- 1-3 years of technical experience.

- Ability to assist with a variety of emergency procedures and laboratory functions.
