Emergency Room Patient Care Tech-FT

About the role

Memorial Hospital Belleville seeks a dedicated individual to provide direct patient care under the supervision of licensed professionals. This role supports the nursing team in creating a safe environment for patients.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Collects vital signs and intake/output
• Falls and pressure ulcer prevention measures
• Urinary catheter care
• Phlebotomy and point of care testing
• Assists with patient and family education
• Documents all patient care activities accurately
• Acts as a 1:1 patient safety sitter as needed
• Ensures availability of supplies and equipment
• Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Engages in professional development

Requirements

• No prior experience required
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, emergency medical technician, or surgical technician preferred
