About the role

The Emergency Response Specialist, assigned to one of Pinkerton’s largest enterprise clients, will perform a variety of armed and/or unarmed assignments focused on the welfare, physical protection, and safety of a corporate site and its employees. Responsibilities include concierge/receptionist duties, emergency response, high-risk terminations, workforce disruptions, natural disasters, and civil unrest. The role also involves crisis planning, threat monitoring, and investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Pinkerton’s core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  • Provide protection and security-related functions, including campus surveillance and communication of vulnerabilities or safety concerns.
  • Respond to emergencies such as natural disasters, civil unrest, workforce disruptions, and high-risk terminations, including medical support when necessary.
  • Deliver high-quality concierge and receptionist services.
  • De-escalate tense situations or individuals at the client’s campus or events.
  • Conduct threat monitoring and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in crisis planning and recommend solutions.
  • Conduct investigations and complete investigative reports.
  • Prepare various reports, including suspicious activity reports, incident reports, shift logs, pattern of life reports, medical treatment reports, and other administrative documentation.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it operates within safety and maintenance guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain protective, operational, and communications equipment; escalate deficiencies or failures promptly.
  • Assist with protection schedules and team assignments as directed.
  • Provide event security for corporate events.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; at least five years of armed protection experience for corporate sites or equivalent experience and skills.
  • Current CA Guard Card, CA Exposed Firearms Permit, and CA CCW or HR218 required.
  • Military or law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Concierge-level customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions

Pay

USD $50.00 per hour.
