Emergency Response Co-Chief

About the role

The Emergency Response Co-Chief oversees the day-to-day operations of the emergency response team, ensuring efficient and effective handling of emergencies. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of emergency protocols.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the emergency response team to ensure timely and appropriate responses to emergencies.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
• Train and mentor team members in emergency response techniques and protocols.
• Coordinate with external agencies and resources during emergencies.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with potential emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Emergency Management, Public Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency management or public safety.
• Proven leadership experience in managing teams.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal emergency response protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Emergency Management or Public Safety.
• Experience with incident command systems and emergency response software.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Skills

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and conflict resolution abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually.
