Job Summary
HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Toxicology Core Faculty/Emergency Medicine physician to join their team. The position involves leading in the development and implementation of the curriculum, assisting the Director of Toxicology with EM residency toxicology rotation and education, POCUS quality, and residency toxicology committee.
About the Role
The role requires a board certified / board eligible Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) and completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Medical Toxicology. Toxicology faculty will work closely with the Director of Toxicology to enhance educational and clinical activities within the department.
Responsibilities
- Lead in the development and implementation of the curriculum
- Aid in the EM residency toxicology rotation and education
- Assist with the quality of all POCUS in the department
- Participate in the residency toxicology committee including faculty and residency members
Requirements
- Board certified / board eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Completion of an ACGME-approved fellowship in Medical Toxicology
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine degree
- Current license to practice medicine in the state of Texas

Facility Information
HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is a Level II trauma center with 450 inpatient beds, 29 ED beds, and 2.2 PPH. It has a 45,000 annual adult patient volume and is home to the only DNV-Healthcare certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Northeast Houston and the first in the area to receive the designation of Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI Cycle III by the Society of Chest Pain Centers. The facility also has a state-of-the-art imaging and endoscopy service, an advanced Brain & Spine Center, and a DNV Comprehensive Stroke Center.
