About the role
Provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization delivering seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases typically treated in a traditional emergency room.
Schedule: Part-time, weekend shifts (3p – 11p).
Responsibilities
- Perform medical evaluations and formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
- Perform medical procedures including but not limited to obtaining IV access, phlebotomy, administering IV medications and IV fluids, and performing EKGs.
- Lead the medical management of patients in our clinics by collaborating closely with a team of PAs, nurses, and technicians to discuss assessments.
- Assess and treat COVID-related cases, including obtaining clinical samples, performing point-of-care testing, obtaining blood for antibody tests, and providing symptom management and recommendations.
- Document clinical evaluations and treatments in the electronic health record (Athena Health).
- Work closely with the Medical Director and clinical team to ensure adherence to policies and deliver quality care in an innovative setting.
- Coordinate additional care with After Care, house calls teams, or Medical Partners.
- Ensure patients and family members feel comfortable by answering questions patiently and professionally, using empathetic, patient-centered communication.
- Contribute to operational projects and perform related duties as requested.
Requirements
- Medical Degree from an accredited university.
- Physician state license and ability to practice in New York.
- Completion of an Emergency Medicine residency and emergency medicine board certification.
- 2+ years of experience as a physician in the emergency department and/or urgent care center post-residency.
- DEA license.

- Strong clinical skills.
- Tech-savvy with the ability to use or learn systems such as Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce, and Humanity.
- Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, and medication administration.
- Excellent bedside manner.
- Comfortable treating emergency department and urgent care patients.
- Adaptable and able to work in a fluid, multitasking environment.
- Strong process and organizational skills.
- Ability to problem-solve and think outside the box.
Pay
Compensation range: $185–$195 per hour for New York candidates. Actual pay depends on factors such as years of experience, location, and education.
