Emergency Medicine Physician - Locum Tenens

Role Overview: Emergency Medicine Physician responsible for providing clinical coverage in a full-service regional hospital's emergency department. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and treat a diverse range of emergency cases across all ages during day and night 12-hour shifts. Work on-site with support from 24-hour NP/PA staff, managing both routine and high-acuity presentations. Prescriptive authority is required, and there are no call duties associated with this role. Qualifications & Skills: Board certification in ABEM, ABFM, or ABIM is negotiable; ATLS, ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications are required. Well-rounded emergency medicine skills are essential for managing variable case loads. Additional Details: Support staff includes 24-hour NP/PA teams; the patient population spans all ages; on-site presence is mandatory. The role offers flexibility with shift times and requires active prescriptive authority.
