About the role
This locum Emergency Medicine Physician role involves providing emergency coverage in a hospital setting with a Level 4 trauma designation. The physician will handle an average of 1.5 patients per hour in a facility with 35 ED beds and an annual patient volume of 50,000. Backup support is available from various specialties such as Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Neurosurgery, and others.
Responsibilities
- Delivering emergency care
- Managing a diverse patient population
- Working independently with no scribe services
Requirements
- Florida license
- Certification from ABEM or ABOM
- Emergency privileges offered for 1-2 months based on a clean file
- Accepts clinicians trained in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Qualifications
- Current licensure
- Board certification in emergency medicine
- Proficiency with the Meditech EMR system
