The University of Pittsburgh Physicians Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an innovative and energetic Program Director to lead our long‑standing and highly acclaimed Emergency Medicine Residency program. Responsibilities

• Lead the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, ensuring excellence in quality, outcomes, and compliance with ACGME, institutional, and departmental standards in conjunction with a full suite of EM fellowship programs.
• Oversee curriculum development and the educational environment to prepare residents for independent practice, scholarship, and leadership in emergency medicine.
• Lead the team that helps accomplish these important aspects across a multi‑site training environment.
• Recruit and support outstanding residents while fostering professional identity formation, mentorship, and career development.
• Advance the departmental mission through teaching, scholarship, faculty development, and high‑quality clinical care.

Candidate Qualifications

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of three years of experience in residency program leadership.
