About the role

Locum tenens emergency department position providing single physician coverage in a hospital with an annual ED volume of approximately 12,000 patients. The role includes tele‑stroke neurology services and hospitalist coverage available 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Work 12‑hour shifts (7:30 am‑7:30 pm or 7:30 pm‑7:30 am)
• Cover night shifts as needed (ongoing)
• Provide emergency care to patients in a single‑physician coverage model
• Utilize tele‑stroke neurology services when required
• Coordinate with hospitalist team for inpatient needs
• Log assignment details and time entry via the online portal

Requirements

• Current ATLS certification
• Active hospital privileges

Pay

Competitive compensation ranging from $225.00 to $310.00 per hour (all‑inclusive, combining base pay with potential overtime, call, and holiday pay). Rates are estimates and vary based on critical need, experience, qualifications, and other factors.

Schedule
