About the role
As an Emergency Medicine Physician, you will provide urgent care in a rural hospital setting, responding to a mixed patient population with approximately 11,500 annual ED visits. You will deliver high-quality emergency services, participate in hospital code responses, and collaborate within a team supported by a hospitalist program and EPIC EMR system.
Responsibilities
- Manage emergency cases across a range of acuity levels with a focus on patient safety and quality care
- Respond to hospital codes and support overall hospital emergency response
- Provide coverage during 24/7 shifts, including day and night rotations
- Work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and treatment
Qualifications
- Prior rural emergency medicine experience preferred
- Strong clinical skills in emergency medicine
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
