Emergency Medicine Physician - Assistant Research Director

About the role

The Assistant Research Director will work closely with the Research Director to accelerate the growth of a research program. This includes involvement in multicenter studies like the PETAL Network and PREVENT, as well as the SIREN network. The role involves supporting a full-time research coordinator, providing statistical consultation, and managing clinical research space. The successful candidate will assist in establishing and maintaining extramurally funded research projects and contribute to training programs for graduate and medical students.

Responsibilities

• Accelerate the growth of the departmental research mission
• Support the development of a research program involving multicenter studies
• Manage a full-time research coordinator and provide statistical consultation
• Secure extramurally funded research projects
• Contribute to graduate and medical student training programs

Requirements

• Board certified (or board eligible in the process of obtaining board certification) in Emergency Medicine
• An active California medical license or eligibility to apply for one
