Facility details
Lovelace Medical Center Downtown is a Level IV trauma-designated facility with 286 total beds and 30 ED beds. The emergency department sees an annual volume of 35,000 patients, with a higher acuity census. Responsibilities include answering floor codes when needed and assisting APCs with fast-track patients in 12 to 16 vertical chairs. The facility is staffed with 24 hours of physician coverage and 20 hours of APC coverage daily. The EMR system is EPIC with CLEO AI.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor an established emergency medicine team.
- Shape clinical operations and workflows to enhance patient care.
- Drive department performance and high-quality outcomes.
- Assist with floor codes and fast-track patient care as needed.
- Collaborate with APCs and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
- Board-certified in emergency medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
- Prior leadership experience in a clinical setting.
- Full-time availability.
