About the role

The Emergency Medicine Clinician position at HCA Florida South Bay-EM (Sun City Center, FL) requires 24/7 coverage with 12 hours of APP coverage per day. The facility has a high volume of 22,000 visits per year, with a 30% admission rate primarily consisting of geriatric patients. The ED is supported by a sister facility to the north and a pediatrics, obstetrics, and gynecology facility to the south.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency care
• Manage a high volume of patients with a 30% admission rate
• Collaborate with sister facilities for transfers and referrals
• Ensure timely radiology reads for all studies
• Participate in SMD (Sister Medical Director) meetings

Requirements

• Current Florida Medical License
• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
• Experience in emergency medicine
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
