A 620-bed tertiary full service hospital with a full service back-up that includes neurosurgery, psychiatry, and pediatrics; immediate cardiology response is mandated for emergency cardiac consults; Interventional Cardiac Lab and STEMI Team 24/7.
PICU and NICU available. ICU divided into 3 subsets: medical ICU, cardiac ICU, and surgical ICU. Fully accredited stroke center. Hospital received an A rating from the prestigious Leapfrog Group's Hospital Safety Grades.
Emergency Department
ED Admission Rate: 22%, representing 68% of total hospital admissions. EMR: Epic. High-acuity facility with broad community-type pathology including pediatrics, medical, surgical, and geriatrics. ED Physicians do not write admitting orders. 2 CT scanners and multiple US machines are located in the ED. MRI available on-site. Active Hospitalists facilitate over 90% of medical admissions, including pediatrics. Specialty services and surgical services available on-call for the ED: Cardiothoracic surgery, interventional cardiology, orthopedics, ENT, neurology, interventional neurology, vascular surgery, hand surgery, neurosurgery, interventional radiology, intensive care, general surgery, GI, OB-Gyn, and psychiatry. Accredited Emergency Medicine Residency Program.
