368-bed community hospital in Denver with approximately 10,000 admissions annually. Tertiary care medical staff includes kidney/liver transplant, cardiovascular surgery, ECMO, complex head and neck surgery, and 24/7 in-house critical care intensivists, hospitalists, and radiologists. Psychiatric services include inpatient adult and geriatric care. Recent remodeling upgrades feature a Cardiac Cath Lab, EP Lab, and Interventional Radiology. Lab/Pathology supports complex medical needs, including autopsy and transfusion protocols. The service area encompasses a large university, three business districts, and a primary highway artery.

Emergency Department

  • Annual ED volume: 20,000 patients
  • 23% admission rate
  • 6,200 ambulance arrivals (6% increase from previous year)
  • Level III Trauma center with 63% of trauma patients over 65 years old
  • 24 main ED treatment rooms plus 6 flex rooms for results waiting, fast track, and chest pain center
  • Dedicated CT/Radiology suites in the ED with bedside ultrasound in the main ED
  • Point-of-care testing available
  • Documentation system uses templates, macros, and voice recognition
  • Staffing includes three dedicated physicians over 24 hours, supported by emergency medicine PAs/NPs
  • ED-based chest pain, CHF, and A-FIB observation units certified through respective national organizations
  • Unique outpatient TIA clinic with 48-hour average turnaround from ED discharge

About the Role

USACS seeks an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. Compensation

  • Estimated employed W-2 pay range: $87–$110 per hour
  • 10% practice-funded 401(k) contribution
