Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls
- Transport patients to medical facilities
- Provide necessary care during transport
- Complete patient paperwork
- Auxiliary with equipment and patient movement
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC required
- Current NYS EMT certification
- Current BCLS certification
- Valid New York State driver’s license (current and without violations)
- Ability to lift, carry, and balance up to 125 lbs. (250 lbs. with assistance) and navigate various terrains
- Proficiency in operating electrocardiogram monitoring equipment and basic computer skills (Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel)
- Strong customer service skills
Schedule
- All positions are in hospitals and nursing homes
- Facilities are open 24 hours/7 days each week
- General shift availability: Days (7a-3p or 8a-4p), Evenings (3p-11p or 4p-12a), Nights (11p-7a or 12a-8a)
- Every other weekend is usually required for all positions
