Emergency Medical Technician

About the role

Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed clinical staff, you'll provide emergency and non-emergency patient care while supporting the delivery of healthcare services throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

• Conducting patient assessments, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, and documenting findings in the medical record
• Providing treatments and procedures in accordance with medical orders, EMT protocols, and scope of practice
• Performing screening, triage, and basic life support while responding to routine and emergency medical needs
• Aiding with infirmary admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient care activities
• Supporting physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff in the delivery of patient care
• Maintaining accurate documentation, monitoring patient conditions, and communicating changes to the healthcare team

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program
• Current EMT or Paramedic license in state of practice
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience preferred
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred

Pay

Pay Range: $22-28/hr.
