Pay

Emergency wage rates:

  • 1st Season: $20.00 hourly
  • 2nd and 3rd Season: $21.11 hourly
  • 4th Season or more: $22.37 hourly
  • Temporary emergency operations adjustment: $3 per hour for winter/emergency operations activities

Schedule

This is an on‑call position; hours will vary depending on weather events. Overtime and nighttime work may be required.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate vehicles to plow snow and spread ice‑control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
  • Clean and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings, and grounds.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B with no air‑brake restrictions and interstate status (Either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non‑Excepted Interstate [NI]).
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Special Working Conditions

  • May require overtime and nighttime work.
  • Outdoor work involving exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and adverse environmental conditions.
  • Risk of physical injury from duties in heavy traffic areas, near heavy equipment or machinery, and with hazardous chemicals or materials.
