Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Job may require overtime and nighttime work.
• Requires outdoor work involving exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and adverse environmental conditions, including risk of physical injury from heavy traffic, heavy equipment/machinery, and hazardous chemicals/materials.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (either Excepted Interstate [EI] or Non-Excepted Interstate [NI]).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Pay

• Base hourly rate: 1st season – $20.00; 2nd and 3rd season – $21.11; 4th season or more – $22.37.
• Eligible for a temporary emergency operations adjustment of $3 per hour when handling winter/emergency operations activities.

Schedule

On‑call position; hours vary depending on weather events.
