Emergency Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) – Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking experienced Veterinary Assistants and Licensed Technicians to join our Emergency and Critical Care Department team. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, collaboration, and professionalism in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment.

Schedule details: 3/12’s (4/10 schedule may be considered)

Essential Responsibilities

  • Triage and obtain patient history from owners
  • Perform diagnostic tests and out-patient procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as directed by DVM
  • Provide oversight and treatment for multiple ER patients, ensuring gold-standard patient nursing and husbandry
  • Provide support and education to pet owners
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Discharge patients and answer client questions
  • Fill prescriptions and review with owners
  • Maintain cleanliness of the hospital

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER setting, LVTs must hold an active Washington license or immanent transfer of licensure
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle fast-paced, high-stress situations with composure
  • Confidence in life-saving procedures such as CPR/BLS
  • Strong phlebotomy and venipuncture skills

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive hourly rate commensurate with clinical experience:
VTS ECC $40-$48
LVT $31-$40
Advanced or Experienced Veterinary Assistant $24-$32
Veterinary Assistant $20-28
$5 per hour differential for all hours worked between 7pm - 7:00am
$2 per hour differential for Saturday/Sunday 7am-7pm
