About the role

Animal Emergency and Specialty Center (AESC) is hiring an Emergency (ER) Veterinarian to join our team in Knoxville, Tennessee.

  • 24/7 emergency care with a dedicated team of ER veterinarians, criticalists, and technicians
  • Fully equipped ICU and advanced diagnostic tools including ultrasound, digital radiography, in-house labs, and CT
  • Supportive multi-specialty collaboration with surgery, internal medicine, oncology, anesthesia, and critical care
  • Access to specialized veterinary training courses, including Global FAST Scan Ultrasound, 3-Day Spay & Neuter Training, Dental Training, hands-on ER wet labs and education on the latest emergency medicine techniques and procedures
  • Collaborate daily with board-certified specialists, participate in case discussions, and continue developing your emergency medicine skills through hands-on mentorship and continuing education

Benefits

  • Base salary: $125,000 - $175,000 / year (negotiable based on skillset and emergency practice experience)

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, VMD or equivalent
  • Active veterinary license in Tennessee (or ability to obtain – we cover state licensure transfer fees)
  • Experience in emergency medicine is preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for exceptional animal care
  • Effective collaborator

Schedule

  • Typically 3-4 shifts per week, rotating to include nights and weekends
  • Must work a minimum average of 33 hours per week to be considered full-time
