Emergency Department Tech (.9 FTE, Nights)
About the Role
Provides basic clinical support duties as delegated by Emergency Department Physician and under direct supervision of Emergency Department Registered Nurse, and performs clerical functions as they relate to order communication.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient support, assists with clinical procedures, performs vital signs, venipunctures, and EKGs.
- Provides indirect patient support, including room maintenance, stocking, and ordering stock PAR level supplies.
- Provides patient transportation, running errands, and communication.
- Accountable for following guidelines for attendance, punctuality, and overall dependability.
- Ensures effective performance and follow-through of all assigned responsibilities within designated time frames.
- Completes responsibilities in a manner consistent with organizational policy, goals, and values.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- One of the following credentials is required at time of hire:
- Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certified
- Washington State Nursing Assistant-Registered
- Washington State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)*
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians
- Certified as a Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist within six months following successful completion of EvergreenHealth ED-specific training component.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- Successful completion of EHMC ED-specific training component within probationary period.
- Those with Washington State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) credential must obtain Washington State Nursing Assistant-Registered within 30 days of hire unless remaining employed as an EMT with a qualified employer.

Pay
Wage Range: $27.15 - $41.65 per hour. Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education, and internal equity.
