About the role

Hospitals on Incredible Health is seeking nurses for the Emergency Department position in the Philadelphia, PA area. Applicants with experience in psychiatric care, fast track, transport, trauma, trauma level 1, trauma level 2, trauma level 3, or trauma level 4 are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• ADN or higher degree in nursing
• Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
• 1+ years of experience in an emergency room (ER) setting preferred
• ACLS, PALS certification preferred
• Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedures
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first line of defense for patients requiring urgent medical care
• Treat patients suffering from trauma, injury, or severe medical conditions
• Quickly assess patients' needs and prioritize care
• Maintain and operate medical equipment while monitoring patient health conditions
• Administer medications and other treatments
• Participate in code blue and other emergency situations
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Determine if a patient should be discharged or require a longer hospital stay
• Educate patients and their families about their condition and care plan
