About the role

Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics in our Emergency Room on a full-time, day shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, care planning, and evaluation
• Manage personalized care for patients
• Collaborate with healthcare providers
• Educate patients and families
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Supervise nursing activities
• Participate in continuous professional development
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality, compassionate, person-centered care

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in Iowa
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Proficiency in post-operative and age-specific care

Skills

• Knowledge of nursing processes
• Excellent communication skills
• Adherence to safety standards

Certifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – mandatory
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – recommended
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – recommended
