Emergency Department Registered Nurse
About the role
Provides direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, ensuring effective communication across the continuum of care. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Maintains safety and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development activities. Qualifications & Skills
- RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; BSN preferred
- Experience in emergency care is preferred; no prior experience required
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work safely and effectively in high-pressure situations
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing and 2 years of experience
