Description
RN Clinician Educator is a clinical expert and role model in applying the nursing process and evidence-based practice. They plan and conduct educational sessions, serve as a resource, and model expert communication skills. They also identify the need for revision and evaluate the effectiveness of operational forms, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. They facilitate staff development, coordinate unit-based clinical orientation, and contribute to evaluating resource use and cost containment activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 2 years of recent nursing experience AND a minimum of 2 years of experience in the area of concentration
- A valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification, ACLS may be required for certain departments, post hire
- Completion of UNE criteria requirements within nine (9) months of promotion or hire, including completion of Enhancing your Communication HLC#6488
- Completion of VIP or EBP Project
- Completion of formal preceptor training workshop
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: MSN or DNP
- Certification: Nursing certification preferred
Physical Requirements
- Medium: 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly)
- Lifting 50 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)

- Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure, Bio-hazardous waste, Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, Communicable diseases, Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required
