Emergency Department Nurse

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care in an emergency department setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing activities. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Promote a healing environment by educating patients and families on care needs and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that enhance patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
• Maintain safety awareness as this is a safety-sensitive role.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Licensure: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; preferred Bachelor's Degree with at least 2 years of experience.

Schedule

Full-time position with rotating shifts (day, evening, night).
