Emergency and Urgent Care Registered Nurse

Department Details

Combined Emergency Department (ED) and Urgent Care at Marsh Med Ctr Minocqua. The unit includes 12 ED beds and 12 Urgent Care beds, operates 7 days a week/365 days a year, and is a Level 4 Trauma Center. The team consists of RNs, paramedics, HUC/Patient Care Techs, ED physicians, and APCs. The department is top in the system for patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Provide empathetic care to patients throughout preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up.
• Demonstrate competency and use comprehensive nursing expertise.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA accredited).
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice (or multistate licensure in an NLC state).
• Obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.

Pay

Salary range: $35.00 – $48.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full‑time position, 36 weekly hours. Primary shift: 12‑hour varied shifts with a rotating third‑weekend schedule (weekend shift 10:00 – 22:00). Every Wednesday required shift 19:00 – 07:30. Self‑scheduling for mid‑week shifts. Additional shift options based on availability: 7:00 – 19:00, 7:30 – 19:30, 8:00 – 20:00, 10:00 – 22:00, and 19:00 – 07:00.
