Embroidery Machine Operator - 1st Shift

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Embroider front, side, and rear locations on Legacy, Locale, and Ouray headwear, maintaining precise attention to detail for each placement.
  • Operate a Barudan 15-head embroidery machine, including reading work orders, programming and loading the machine, troubleshooting embroidery issues, performing basic machine maintenance (cleaning, oiling, threading needles), and monitoring bobbin tensions.
  • Hoop 200–450 hats per shift, depending on experience and type of work.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of thread types and colors, headwear styles, and embellishment techniques.
  • Recognize and ensure high-quality work, including accurate logo placement, applique positioning, and consistent embroidery quality.
  • Adhere to safety standards and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Communicate questions or concerns promptly to the floor lead or supervisor.

Work Environment

  • This role operates in a production environment using industrial embroidery machines and standard embroidery tools.
  • Requires close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Absolutely requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
  • On your feet up to 10 hours per day, with excellent hand/wrist dexterity and frequent bending at the waist.

Position Type / Expected Hours Of Work

Full-time position.
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
