Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a testing framework for the automated testing of the spacecraft software in HITL and SITL environments.
  • Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements, needs, and specifications.
  • Define test objectives, scope, and criteria.
  • Work closely with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that software meets quality standards and requirements.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Ensure all testing activities are documented and traceable.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the avionics and flight software architecture and how the spacecraft operates as an integrated system.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by developing and implementing new testing standards, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in embedded software or test development.
  • Experience using C/C++ for an embedded system.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve software and hardware issues effectively with little to no supervision.
  • Experience writing automated software tests for HITL/SITL environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project or work experience in the space, automotive and robotic sectors.
  • Software testing tools and frameworks such as Google Test, CppUnit, Pytest, etc.
  • Different testing techniques such as performance, regression, integration, unit, and load testing.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) for embedded software.

Pay

$140,000-$190,000

Schedule

Employees may be asked to support alternate shifts, extended shifts, and/or travel during peak work periods.

ITAR Requirements

This position may include access to technology and/or software source code that is subject to U.S. export controls. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C.1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
