Embedded Software Engineer, SR

Location: Farmingdale, NY

Salary Information: $125,000 - $140,000 (general guideline for a New York-based position; final offer considers candidate qualifications, relevant experience, position scope, and market/business factors).

About the Role

Design and develop embedded software systems for precision electronic measurement equipment. Document projects in design reports and software verification reports.

Responsibilities

• Architect software designs from customer requirements, including appropriate abstractions
• Design, code, debug, test, and document embedded software applications
• Work collaboratively with other engineers
• Operate in an Agile Development environment

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in embedded software design, programming, and debugging
• Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and experience
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills
• Excellent analysis and decision-making skills
• US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (required)
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (preferred)

• Xilinx Zynq programming, including using Xilinx Vitis Development Environment
• GIT, SourceTree, Jira, VectorCAST, Parasoft, and DOORs
