Bring the Cloud to the Edge—anywhere, anytime. Join us to engineer the future of secure, portable, and resilient compute for missions that can’t wait. As an Edge Computing Embedded Engineer, you’ll design and deploy advanced systems that thrive in the harshest environments—from tactical edge to disconnected operations. You’ll integrate CPUs, GPUs, TPUs, and FPGAs into rugged platforms, optimize AI models for real-time inference, and harden solutions against cyber and physical threats. Your work will power critical decisions for the Department of War.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy advanced embedded systems for edge computing in harsh and disconnected environments.
  • Integrate CPUs, GPUs, TPUs, and FPGAs into rugged platforms.
  • Optimize AI models for real-time inference at the edge.
  • Harden solutions against cyber and physical threats using zero-trust designs for isolation and least privileged run-times.
  • Develop packaged edge stacks that sync to the cloud but operate independently at the tactical edge.
  • Work within a collaborative, cross-functional team to create solutions for complex problems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development and with embedded systems.
  • 2+ years of experience integrating CPUs, GPUs, TPUs, or FPGAs into edge pipelines.
  • Experience with zero-trust designs for isolation, hardening, and least privileged run-times.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Rust, and Python.
  • Experience with containerization technologies, micro-service network architecture, and CI/CD tools, including GitLab.
  • Experience with Agile methodology, extreme programming, software engineering, product management, and software products.
  • Knowledge of the broader ecosystem and technical environment of software programming.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience with embedded software languages and products, such as Embedded Platforms, FreeRTOS, VxWorks, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SELinux, Ansible, Bash scripting, Make, and XML technologies.
  • Experience deploying optimized AI models to embedded targets.
  • Experience with quantization, pruning, and model telemetry at the edge.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • AWS IoT Core or Greengrass Certification, or Solutions Architect Certification.
  • NVIDIA Certified Professional Certification.

Benefits

  • Health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits.
  • Paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, work-life programs, and dependent care.
  • Recognition awards program for exceptional performance and superior demonstration of company values.
