About the role

Konami Gaming is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer IV to join our team. This role involves extensive object-oriented programming skills, strong customer relations, and collaboration in a team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and develop software components and computing systems software to meet engineering, hardware, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, sustainable engineering applications and products.
  • Determine and develop solutions independently, rarely requiring assistance.
  • Operate as a mentor to lower-level engineers, providing advanced solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Coordinate testing scripts, documentation, and deployment schedules with Quality Assurance, Training, and Documentation departments.
  • Follow and recommend changes to department processes and procedures, reviewing software products for sound technical judgment.
  • Create and/or review development design documentation as needed.
  • Interact with customers to gather feedback on system software stability and reliability.
  • Provide guidance to junior developers to ensure successful program completion.
  • Lead projects regularly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 8 to 11 years of extensive object-oriented programming experience (C/C++).
  • Experience in the Gaming Industry is a major plus.
  • Experience with embedded SAS protocol development.
  • Experience with embedded system development and tools.
  • Experience with C, C++, and Linux/gcc compiler.
  • Experience with multi-threaded applications and socket APIs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • A high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in Casino Management Systems and understanding of technology requirements, constraints, and approaches.
  • Advanced understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.
  • Ability to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
