About the role
Konami Gaming is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer IV to join our team. This role involves extensive object-oriented programming skills, strong customer relations, and collaboration in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop software components and computing systems software to meet engineering, hardware, and manufacturing requirements.
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development lifecycle to ensure high-quality, sustainable engineering applications and products.
- Determine and develop solutions independently, rarely requiring assistance.
- Operate as a mentor to lower-level engineers, providing advanced solutions to complex technical problems.
- Coordinate testing scripts, documentation, and deployment schedules with Quality Assurance, Training, and Documentation departments.
- Follow and recommend changes to department processes and procedures, reviewing software products for sound technical judgment.
- Create and/or review development design documentation as needed.
- Interact with customers to gather feedback on system software stability and reliability.
- Provide guidance to junior developers to ensure successful program completion.
- Lead projects regularly.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
- 8 to 11 years of extensive object-oriented programming experience (C/C++).
- Experience in the Gaming Industry is a major plus.
- Experience with embedded SAS protocol development.
- Experience with embedded system development and tools.
- Experience with C, C++, and Linux/gcc compiler.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and socket APIs.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A high degree of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Casino Management Systems and understanding of technology requirements, constraints, and approaches.
- Advanced understanding and usage of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to communicate professionally and efficiently (verbal and written) with all levels of the business.
- Ability to obtain and retain gaming licensure.
