About the role
This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
Responsibilities
- Develop flight software and tools for various spaceflight systems.
- Share in the team’s impact on all aspects of safety-critical real-time embedded software development.
- Work on vehicle avionics and ground systems.
- Be responsible for requirements, design, implementation, integration and testing of various software components and tools critical for the success of New Glenn’s mission.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related subject area.
- 5+ years of experience writing software in C, C++, and Python.
- 2+ years of experience in embedded software, kernel development, BSPs or other systems software components.
- Strong understanding of operating systems and network protocols fundamentals.
Qualifications
- M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience with real-time operating systems (preferred).
- Experience with safety-critical software development in aerospace, automotive or other industries (preferred).
- Experience developing software that interfaces directly with hardware components and programmable logic (preferred).

Pay
Base Pay Range For CO applicants is $150,931.00 - $211,303.05 WA applicants is $164,652.00 - $230,512.80 Other Site Ranges May Differ
