Embedded Software Engineer

About the role

The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software for embedded systems. This includes working closely with hardware engineers to ensure software functionality aligns with hardware capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software solutions for embedded systems
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with hardware components
• Perform unit and integration testing of software
• Debug and maintain existing software systems
• Document software design and implementation details

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in embedded software development
• Experience with C/C++ programming languages
• Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and peripherals
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS)
• Understanding of hardware interfacing and communication protocols
• Knowledge of embedded system security practices
