Embedded Software Engineer (Active Clearance Required)
Location: Manhattan Beach, CA – Candidates must currently reside in the Greater Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate within 30 days of offer acceptance.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join a high-performing aerospace engineering team supporting advanced flight, space, and ground systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys developing real-time embedded software in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for aerospace applications.
- Develop software operating in resource-constrained environments with real-time performance requirements.
- Implement complex data analysis, data routing, and control system algorithms.
- Work with embedded processors, memory architectures, and I/O interfaces.
- Develop procedural and object-oriented software using C/C++.
- Support software throughout the full development lifecycle, including requirements, design, coding, integration, testing, and debugging.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams in a laboratory environment.
- Ensure compliance with software engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong experience with C/C++ and object-oriented software development.
- Experience working in RTOS environments such as FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity, Linux, or VxWorks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced development lab environment.
- Active Security Clearance or Top Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across the software development lifecycle, including architecture, requirements, development, testing, and integration.
- Experience working with laboratory and test equipment such as signal generators, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, and network analyzers.
- Experience supporting hardware validation and verification activities involving RF, digital, or mixed-signal systems.
- Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or Spiral development methodologies.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $75.00/hr.
