Embedded Firmware Engineer (eInfochips Inc)

About the role
Embedded Firmware Engineer supporting DO-178C SOI-2 certification of Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) software for safety-critical avionics platforms. The engineer will participate in Software Development Reviews (SOI-2) by evaluating software requirements, architecture, detailed design, traceability, and compliance with DO-178C objectives.
Key TSN software components include IEEE 802.1AS (gPTP), IEEE 802.1Qbv Time-Aware Shaper, IEEE 802.1Qav Credit-Based Shaper, IEEE 802.1CB FRER, ENETC drivers, LOS-178 networking stack, and LCS components.
Responsibilities
- Perform DO-178C SOI-2 certification reviews
- Author system, High-Level Requirements (HLR), and Low-Level Requirements (LLR) for Networking and TSN
- Verify software architecture and detailed design compliance
- Review bidirectional requirements traceability
- Evaluate software coding standards compliance
- Review derived requirements
- Work closely with software, systems, FPGA, and certification teams
Requirements
- DO-178C lifecycle experience
- TSN knowledge: IEEE 802.1AS (gPTP/PTP), IEEE 802.1Qbv, Qav, VLAN, Traffic Classes/Queue Scheduling
- Embedded software development in C
- RTOS and device drivers
- Networking: Ethernet, VLAN, Layer-2 switching, socket programming, TCP/IP fundamentals
