About the role
Join Bigbear.ai as an Embedded Engineer in Columbia, Maryland. We are seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, and test embedded systems for our cutting-edge AI solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement embedded software systems for AI applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers
- Contribute to the development of new AI algorithms and integrate them into hardware platforms
- Debug and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
- Document design decisions and system architecture for future reference
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems development
- Experience with C/C++ programming and embedded Linux
- Familiarity with microcontroller architectures such as ARM Cortex-M
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Knowledge of sensor integration and interfacing with microcontrollers
- Experience with real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their implementation in embedded systems
- Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems
Skills
- Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems development
- Experience with hardware design and prototyping
- Knowledge of embedded system testing and validation methods
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
