Join Bigbear.ai as an Embedded Engineer in Columbia, Maryland. We are seeking a skilled engineer to design, develop, and test embedded systems for our cutting-edge AI solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement embedded software systems for AI applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers
• Contribute to the development of new AI algorithms and integrate them into hardware platforms
• Debug and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
• Document design decisions and system architecture for future reference

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 3 years of experience in embedded systems development
• Experience with C/C++ programming and embedded Linux
• Familiarity with microcontroller architectures such as ARM Cortex-M
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sensor integration and interfacing with microcontrollers
• Experience with real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS
• Understanding of machine learning concepts and their implementation in embedded systems
• Experience with debugging tools and techniques for embedded systems

Skills

• Proficiency in C/C++ and embedded systems development
• Experience with hardware design and prototyping
• Knowledge of embedded system testing and validation methods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
