Email Information Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversight and optimization of the enterprise email security ecosystem
• Supporting advanced cybersecurity technologies such as EDR, endpoint protection, database security, SIEM, vulnerability management, and security auditing platforms
• Implementation and continuous improvement of public cloud security controls across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments
• Development, maintenance, and governance of comprehensive security documentation
• Execution and coordination of incident response and remediation activities
• Partnership with IT, compliance, and audit teams for enterprise security assessments and audits
• Stay informed about emerging security threats and integrate new technologies into the organization’s cybersecurity strategy
• Contribution to cross-functional initiatives aimed at strengthening IT and security controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of experience in systems operations and/or systems security
• Experience managing secure email gateways and other email security solutions
• Experience with systems event monitoring, analysis, and anomaly detection
• Experience in highly regulated environments, particularly in financial services
• Strong research and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of email security, including experience configuring and supporting secure email gateways
• Proficiency in methods to secure systems, databases, and applications
• Skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting
• Broad understanding of current information security technologies and industry trends
