Eligibility & Authorization Rep II

This is a remote position; however, on-site attendance may be required based on business needs (e.g., internet or equipment issues, power outages, or training). CHLA requires employees to maintain a primary residence in California prior to the start date.** Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Eligibility & Authorization Rep II, under moderate supervision, performs tasks associated requesting and obtaining authorizations. Organizes, updates, and maintains a worklist documenting progressing on tasks. Serves as the primary liaison between patient, CHLA, and third-party payers in answering questions and arranging payment. Answers and screens incoming calls while providing excellent customer service. Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 2+ years of experience in medical office setting or hospital performing financial clearance processes required. Education/Licensure/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent required.
