Career Opportunity Elevator Service Technician An experienced, self-motivated mechanic to join our maintenance team in New York. About This Position We are looking for a service technician to join our maintenance and repair team. To be a good fit for us, you will need to have experience working on all types of elevators, hydraulic as well as traction ones, across a range of makes and models. You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs as needed, and must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly and efficiently. BENEFITS Health insurance, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage6% match toward your retirement accountTop Pay in the industry/mechanic scaleAdvancement Opportunities through our CET training program RESPONSIBILITIES Perform preventative maintenance and repair on commercial and residential elevatorsMaintain inventory and spare partsPerform daily inspections on equipment, and document findingsPerform scheduled preventive maintenance on all relevant elevator equipment, including monitoring systems and access systemsConduct annual building inspectionsMaintain paperwork and licensesSuccessfully complete repairs professionally and profitablyCarry out repair and inspections of elevators, and related devices to ensure their effective and efficient operation in line with safety regulations and OSHA requirementsPerform alteration tests to ensure the proper operation of safety devices during final inspectionsPerform other related duties incidental to the work described (this is not an exhaustive list of all potential responsibilities and duties) QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years experience in elevator maintenance, repair, or installationExcellent knowledge of safety practicesAbility to perform work safely, as well as to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systemsExperience with both traction and hydraulic elevatorsExperience working with hand and electrical tools, hydraulics, wiring, plumbing, installing controllers, reading schematics, testing of elevators, elevator inspections a plusCertified Elevator Technician (CET) degree or Elevator Mechanic License a plusHigh School Diploma or equivalent Back to all Openings Join the team Apply now We are looking for a service technician to join our maintenance and repair team.
