Elevate Rides Service Technician
About the role
This position will primarily focus on service and shop operations, but will also have a diverse set of responsibilities related to customer service, community engagement, and instruction. Service Technicians are small-engine repair mechanics who specialize in two-wheeled mopeds. A Service Technician is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and repair of small-engine vehicles. They work on engines, ignition systems, brakes, transmissions, and more. Successful candidates will possess a passion for Branson, our community, and scooters.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil and replacing spark plugs.
- Repair engines and transmissions.
- Listen to engines, examine vehicle frames, and use diagnostic machines to identify problems and suggest solutions.
- Complete minor body repairs such as removing dents or repairing scratches.
- Replace worn, damaged, and defective parts.
- Install GPS units and attach vinyl.
- Check the condition and pressure of tires, and adjust them according to specifications.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment in order to perform repairs.
- Communicate important repair information to customers.
- Manage supply inventory and complete purchase orders as necessary.
- Manage Back of House day-to-day operations including cleaning and organizing.
- Provide Customer Service to Program Participants.
- Teach Scooter School.
- Maintain service appointments and records for each scooter including any warranty work.
- Represent the program at community events as requested.
- Promote the program and serve as an ambassador to the community.
- Complete service calls during and after hours when needed.
- Oversee the display of merchandise inside the store to enhance the appearance and appeal of the store.
- Acknowledge and follow the financial policies of Elevate Branson.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Must be a team player, understanding that resolving conflict requires handling situations with integrity and professionalism by communicating with the direct supervisor.
- Must be a self-starter, always looking for ways to improve upon the program.
- Demonstrate the ability to problem-solve, analyze data, make good decisions for the organization, attend to details, and prioritize multiple projects at one time.
- Ability to adapt quickly to a changing organizational environment, including learning and applying new training and knowledge.
- Ability to generate enthusiasm and interest from others for working within certain departments.
- Must fully support the Elevate Branson mission, vision, core values, and staff.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of two-wheel mechanic experience.
- Missouri Driver's License and Class "M" Endorsement.
- High School Diploma; college preferred.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds and successfully manipulate scooters.

Physical Requirements
- Requires the ability for frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, pulling, and pushing.
- Requires the ability to successfully manipulate scooters.
- Occasionally may be required to carry items up to 75 pounds for short distances.
