Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one tutoring for elementary students (Kindergarten through Grade 6)
• Support students in reading, writing, mathematics, and other core elementary subjects
• Assist with homework, study skills, executive functioning, and foundational learning strategies
• Develop individualized learning plans based on each student's needs and goals
• Monitor student progress and provide regular updates to families
• Foster a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment
• Travel to students' homes throughout the Northern Los Angeles area

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; teaching credential or advanced degree preferred
• Valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential or equivalent is highly preferred
• Experience teaching or tutoring elementary-aged students
• Strong knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Reliable transportation
• Authorized to work in the United States

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified applicants must hold a bachelor's degree and meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Hold a valid California teaching credential (Multiple Subject preferred) or equivalent
• Be a current student teacher pursuing a teaching credential
• Have two or more years of experience teaching elementary students in a public, private, or charter school
• Have significant experience providing one-on-one or small-group tutoring for elementary students
• Be a graduate student in education or a related field with teaching or instructional experience
