Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to students with special needs, aligning with Wilshire’s educational goals and standards.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, other special education staff, and parents to develop and implement effective educational plans for students.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to meet individual learning needs.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of special education best practices.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• A valid California Teaching Credential in Special Education.
• At least two years of successful teaching experience in a special education setting.
• Experience working with diverse student populations and ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
