Elementary Teacher

About the role

The Classical Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced K-6th grade teacher to join our dynamic and supportive educational community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting. Completion of Spalding training is required, along with CPR, First Aid, and Medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive atmosphere in the classroom to support individual student learning
• Models and instructs virtuous character traits
• Develops and follows a classroom management plan
• Creates and administers assessments to monitor student progress
• Communicates regularly with parents via a blog or newsletter
• Collaborates with other teachers within the grade level
• Participates in RTI, PST, and SPED meetings as needed
• Serves on various committees and coordinates special events and field trips

Requirements

• Highly qualified elementary teacher according to TCA standards
• Experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting preferred
• Completion of Spalding training
• CPR, First Aid, and Medical certification
