About the role
The Classical Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced K-6th grade teacher to join our dynamic and supportive educational community. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting. Completion of Spalding training is required, along with CPR, First Aid, and Medical certification.
Responsibilities
- Creates a positive atmosphere in the classroom to support individual student learning
- Models and instructs virtuous character traits
- Develops and follows a classroom management plan
- Creates and administers assessments to monitor student progress
- Communicates regularly with parents via a blog or newsletter
- Collaborates with other teachers within the grade level
- Participates in RTI, PST, and SPED meetings as needed
- Serves on various committees and coordinates special events and field trips
Requirements
- Highly qualified elementary teacher according to TCA standards
- Experience teaching in an elementary classroom setting preferred
- Completion of Spalding training
- CPR, First Aid, and Medical certification

- WELLNESS PROGRAM: A voluntary wellness program through Orriant is offered in which employees are eligible to earn an incentive of up to $150 for participation AND achievement of wellness activity goals.
- TIME OFF COMPENSATION: An employee with 0.5 to 1.0 FTE will receive Staff Leave and Personal Leave. For positions less than 1.0 FTE, leave time will be prorated based on FTE. Our leave program is fully compliant with the Colorado Healthy Families Workplace Act.
